HK Army Concludes Saints and Sinners Tour!

It was a long haul, but we finally finished up the Saints and Sinners tour. Naturally, we encountered the standard casualties of tour. Nothing out of the ordinary; Three blown-out tires, melted brakes and rotors, calipers exploding, busted water pump, broken exhaust and a hole through our bathroom door. Interestingly enough, that was far less damages than we had anticipated. But the bus took a beating none the less. Rolling with BrokeNcyde is always an exciting adventure. They kept us on our toes.

We kicked off the tour in Florida at a giant venue. We had no idea what to expect because all we knew was that BrokeNcyde’s fan base consisted of 10-year old girls that scream, “Lick my penis up and down, back and forth.” But little did we know that this amazing line-up of bands had an incredible draw. Every show was sold out and capacity ranged from 1,500 to 3,600 people! It was an extraordinary experience, to say the least. Hollywood Undead, Senses Fail, Haste the Day and BrokeNcyde was an unstoppable set.

We were all anxious to see what the other bands were like. We had made a few assumptions, but when we saw Hollywood Undead roll up in their bus with a line of supermodels awaiting them outside, we knew they meant business. They were an awesome group of guys and showed us great hospitality. One night we went out with them to a spot in Houston called the “Dirt Bar.”  We would describe the beautiful ambiance of the bar, if we could remember. Lets just say these guys drink Grey Goose like a 12-year old drinks shirley temples. Not to mention everything is complementary when you roll with a band that wears masks. Sweeeet.

Senses Fail put on a great show as well. The lead singer, Buddy, was down with the HK. One night he came on our bus to hang out and, of course, the juice was flowing. One thing led to another, and without warning a battle of testosterone unleashed within the HK bus. Brian and Buddy were grappling on our living room floor attempting establish who was truly the alpha male. It appeared to end in a draw, however, I would have to assume they both lost, considering the neck aches in the morning and a stomach full of jumbled booze. Next time they are in town, we are scheduling a rematch at subfighter.

For those of you that are unaware, Haste the Day is a Christian metal band. Great talent and amazing performers, but you’re not going to find any extravagant stories that involve debauchery or any of the seven deadly sins.

As for BrokeNcyde, I believe I could write a best selling novel that would rival Motley Crue’s book, “The Dirt: Confessions of the Worlds Most Notorious Rockband.”  These guys cross the line on so many levels. I mean, they just fit in with HK Army like two peas in a pod. We have never eaten so much Taco Bell in our entire life. I think we have officially sampled every item on their menu. While on tour we got snowed-in passing through Dalhart Texas and missed a couple shows. Stuck in a hotel with a squad of traveling cheerleaders during an epic blizzard, next to a liquor store makes for a dangerous cocktail.

We hope we never have to see any of them again =) But in all honesty, the bands and their crews were amazing and we had a magnificent time. Crunk Energy drink sponsored our bus, along with BrokeNcyde and hooked it up with tons of free energy drinks. We’d like to thank them for all the support, and mostly because their energy drinks mix extremely well with vodka. Also, PB Fashion was amazing and laced everyone with trendy glow-in-the-dark bandanas. Thanks to all the HK Army support that made it out to the shows! we look forward to seeing you guys on the next tour!
